About Us

We are proud to have become a full member league of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association in March of 2014, which means that we joined the ranks of 470 women-led, skater owned and operated leagues worldwide that have united to lead the sport of women’s flat track roller derby.

An inspiring quote from a team member saying how awesome derby is and how proud they are to be part of the team.

WFTDA

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association is the international governing body for the sport of women’s flat track roller derby and a membership organization for leagues to collaborate and network. The WFTDA sets standards for rules, seasons, and safety, and determines guidelines for the national and international athletic competitions of member leagues.

Community Outreach

The Renegade Derby Dames have been involved in community outreach since the founding of the league, providing fundraising support and donations to local charities. Over the years, we have contributed to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation for women’s shelters and violence prevention, and we donated a Derby Girl For A Day package for the David Busby Centre Silent Auction to benefit the homeless. With 50/50 draws at our bouts, we have helped My Sisters Place raise money to support their work helping women and their children who have been victims of violence in the home.

We have participated in the Trick-or-Eat Campaign, gathering over 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food items for the Good Shepherd Food Bank in recent years, in addition to the food donations that we accept at every bout. In 2013, we hosted a charity EradiSKATE Cancer tournament, raising over $2300 for Matthew’s House Hospice in Alliston.
